production

I’ve been working on building my inventory in preparation for an upcoming bead show. It’s kind of sad that it takes a major deadline for me to be this productive. I’ve tried self imposed deadlines, but that just doesn’t seem to do the trick. Maybe, because I know I will look like an idiot at a show with only a handful of beads. LOL!

Part of the day to day struggle with producing is what to make next. Since there’s only a limited amount of time before the bead show, I’ve realized that I’m going to have to revisit some older designs along with some new ideas that are floating around in my head. Most of my bead designs are very limited in production for a couple of reasons. One, I get bored easily. Two, I usually make small canes and therefore will only have a set or two of the same design. When trying to duplicate a cane, it never turns out the same as the first time. So, even while I revisit some older designs, they won’t be exactly like the originals.

I did take some time away from making beads the other day to wire up some new window pendants. Not really sure about the name, window pendants, but for lack of a better name it works.

I’m off to go make more beads!
