dining room

Hubby and I have been painting all week. This is a corner of the dining room. Only one wall is green (Swallow’s Nest). The other walls are Neutral Ground. The trim is Ottertail and the door is Suave Mauve. Don’t they have fun names for paint?

I know you are wondering what painting my dining room has to do with beads, polymer clay, or jewelry, right? The answer is COLOR. Color is the first thing that draws my attention to just about anything, be it clothes, jewelry, whatever. It’s what makes me take a second look. Then I notice things like design, texture, etc.

I started my quest online looking for color combinations. Did you know you can “paint” a room in colors of your choice right on your computer? Do a search for paint colors and see what you find. Not only can you pick and choose colors, most sites also have some inspirational color combos to get you started. So, even if you aren’t planning on painting you can find some great color inspiration for your next beadie project.

By the way, we still have a second coat on half the living room and the trim on that half to finish. Hopefully we will get it done tomorrow.

Have a great week!
