goals

I’ve been thinking about my goals for the new year. One of my goals is to do more tutorials. I’ll admit to not being the most patient person which is why I have such a hard time submitting articles to magazines. You submit the article and wait several months to hear anything. Then if you’re lucky and they want to publish your article, there’s more waiting for the actual publication and payment. Where does this lead an impatient person? Self publication.

My goal is to do at least one tutorial per month. They will be in pdf format and will be for sale in my etsy shop as well as on my website. Down the road, I’m hoping to have them available on cd and possibly in some form of printed bound format.

January’s tutorial will be ‘ribbons and roses’ and will be available January 15th. Here’s a photo of some beads I made some time ago with this technique. This would also make a great design for a switch plate cover, candle holder, etc. Click on photo for a larger view.

My ‘geometric beads’ tutorial is currently for sale in my etsy shop. It will be available for sale on my website soon (as soon as I figure out the downloads part of my shopping cart).

Update on fund for Dawn’s boys: At last count, the fund was at $5,500. It has been truly amazing to see so many helping to support this cause. Thanks to end of December sales, I was able to donate $175 to the fund. I will be donating 25% of all sales from my etsy shop for the month of January.
