		<description>Thanks Corinne! We are very lucky that we only lost power for a little while. There are lots of people still without power. 

It was above freezing so we had some melting yesterday, but not enough.

		<description>Oh my, please be safe! If you go outside please rapidly shuffle past all power lines, wires in the air and trees. I don&#039;t remember ice storms in eastern Oregon but we sure did have what was called a &quot;silver thaw&quot; that pretty much amounts to the same thing. Snow and icicles melted and then a hard freeze.

As a kid I remember an inch or two of ice on top of 4-6 feet of snow. We used to tunnel under the ice and in general had a great time. Because of all the hazardous roads the school buses couldn&#039;t run so NO SCHOOL!!! Never did we have a clue of all the danger that was created for the adults.

So please be extra careful when you venture outside. Hope you stay warm also. This is a nasty time for your community to experience such a PITA. With everyone having to travel to and from work plus want to do their Christmas shopping.
