In my never ending quest for organization, I’ve been trying to come up with a better way to keep track of color “recipes”. I started writing the info on the back of a baked color chip, but it’s hard to write small enough if it’s a complicated color mix. Then, what to do with all the chips? I’ve strung them up, put them loose in a container. Nothing just seemed to work for me.

Several months ago, I started gluing thin baked color chips to index cards with the plenty of room to write down the “recipe”. I really liked this idea, but still wasn’t sure the best way to store the index cards. I didn’t have the space to give up for an index card file on my work desk, but wanted to keep the cards handy. Finally found what I was looking for….

This wonderful little index card holder by Mead.

I hung it up by the ring, so it’s within easy reach.

COOL organization tool!!! I too am always looking to better organize my space. I only have a small space and it’s pretty cluttered. If I could dedicate the entire room to my craft, I’d be in good shape. However, I have 3 bookcases for books, my computer, and the closet is full of STUFF ranging from board games, to greeting cards I’ve saved, scrapbooking stuff, books I kept from college, etc. GOSH!!!
