Sorry I’ve been missing recently. I had a cold/flu thing that turned into a nasty sinus infection. I’m finally starting to feel human again.
I first discovered polymer clay when my Mom and I decided to sign up for a class on making Christmas ornaments. This was in 1990 or 1991 (the years seem to fly by). Anyway, I made a cute snowman and cottage ornament. My Mom didn’t have to work the next day so she took our ornaments home to bake. Well, they came out quite scorched. LOL! My very first effort went into the trash.
We laughed about it and I dug out the clay and made more ornaments.
That was the beginning of my polymer clay addiction. I loved the colors, the feel of it in my hands, and oh the possibilities. I’ve done ceramics, sewing, crocheting, decorative painting… well the list goes on, but none of them have held my interest like polymer clay.
It’s fun looking back at earlier works, if only to see how far you’ve come.
Here are few pictures of some of my earlier work. Believe it or not, I do occasionally make something that isn’t beads or jewelry.

What was your first experience with polymer clay? Want to share your story? Send me an email with a little info about yourself, how you got started with polymer clay and a photo of your earlier work and something more current and I’ll feature your story right here.
